deForms is my first NFT project. I really wanted to start at the NFTverse with it as it was my genesis also in the real life. The moment when I thought that I can be not only a consumer of art but also a creator. Until NFT only a few of my friends have seen it. DeForms were waiting for the wider audience for years buried under layers of uncertainty and low self-esteem. I had pulled them to the ground and stood by them. I started to write and as a hardcore introvert, even talk about them.
The technique of creating them was a mix of photography with a bit of esoteric. Images appeared on the contact surface of a screen of my mobile phone and the silicone case covering it. They appeared themselves. As weird as it sounds. It took few days for one image to appear. Then it had fully clarified I took a photo of it and cleaned the screen and the silicone case and waited another few days for another image. I treated them as “reading-tea-leaves” and tried to uncover their meaning, with only partial success. I hoped a wider audience could help me.
The most important, for me, in the collection is a work called “Once I was a dog”. The name for the collection came with it and happenings connected with that work. The dog I really met, in my real life right after the image had appeared, but it’s a topic for another story. What might help in reading deForms is something all of you have probably already guessed. DeForms are deformed forms, in many different ways, psychically and physically. Sometimes description below them helps in reading them, sometimes totally opposite.
I hope you enjoy this collection and will help me in reading its meaning.
